Travelers Aid was recently awarded a three year $45,000 grant by the Community Foundation of Greater Birmingham. The grant will be used as community match to federal New Freedom funds. Together these community and federal funds pay for the rides given by Travelers Aid to low income elderly and adults with disabilities to take them to and from their medical appointments.
